Water Rebate Programs

Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD)

Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) offers the following rebate programs:

  • Landscape Rebate Program: Take advantage of the following rebates for IRWD non-residential landscape irrigation account holders. Install the latest water-efficient technology, save water and reduce your water bills
  • Residential Rebate Program – SoCal Water Smart: IRWD customers can get money back when you install qualifying clothes washers, rotating sprinkler nozzles, and weather-based irrigation controllers.
  • Commercial Rebate Program – Save Water, Save A Buck: IRWD offers commercial rebates toward the purchase of a dozen different devices, including high efficiency toilets, weather-based irrigation controllers, and air cooled ice machines.
  • Turf Removal Rebate Program: Residential, commercial, and landscape customers may be eligible to receive $1.50 per square-foot of turf grass removed, for a minimum of 250 to a maximum of 10,000 square-feet.

The Municipal Water District of Orange County

The Municipal Water District of Orange County offers the following rebate programs:

  • Water Smart Industrial Program: This program provides technical assistance and cash incentives to local businesses that invest in water saving process improvements.
  • Water Smart Hotel Program: This program provides water use surveys, customized facility reports, and technical assistance to hotels that invest in water use efficiency improvements.
  • Residential Rebate Program – SoCal Water Smart: This program provides rebates on select water-efficient devices to single- and multi-family residents. Devices currently available for rebate include high efficiency clothes washers, rotating sprinkler nozzles, and weather-based irrigation controllers.
  • Commercial Rebate Program – Save Water, Save A Buck: This program provides rebates on a wide variety of water-efficient devices to businesses and other commercial customers. Devices currently available for rebate include food steamers, ice machines, water brooms, and more.
  • Turf Removal Program: This program provides financial incentives to qualifying residential and commercial water users who remove turf from their properties.
