Don’t be Tricked… Make Sure It’s Really A Treat

Let’s face it. Kids get really excited during Halloween at the prospect of acquiring as much candy as their bags will allow them too. This year, trick-or-treat for the kids and for the environment.

• Trick or treat locally, so that you don’t have to drive
• As you are trick-or-treat, carry an extra bag and pick up trash along the way
• Use a pillowcase or reusable canvas bags as your trick or treat bag
• Choose products that have minimal packaging for your trick-or-treat candy
• Consider giving out items that don’t generate additional packaging waste, such as pencils, erasers, or fruit (Clementine oranges work great for this)
