According to the Environmental Protection Agency, Americans, on average, increase their garbage amount by 25% between Thanksgiving and December 26th. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, kicks off the holiday season and is the busiest shopping day of the entire year. You can do your part to reduce waste by purchasing items in bulk and/or with less packaging.
